WORKOUTS IN ADANA FOR 2 DAYS
Operating under the ÇEKÜL Foundation, ÇEKÜL Academy has been organizing training programs since 2009 for the conservation teams of Historic Cities Union member municipalities through case studies, best practices, practical applications and field visits.
ÇEKÜL “Urban Conservation Trainings”, “Trainings in the Field Programme”, “UNESCO and Local Administrations Training Program”, “Cultural Heritage and Tourism Cooperation Training Program” and “Cities and Museums; It organizes free training programs under the main headings “From Installation to Company Training”. With these workouts; It aims to ensure that current conservation approaches and principles are conveyed to local government personnel through good practice, practical applications and field visits.
Certain training courses from the “Urban Conservation Trainings” program, which started last year, are organized within the framework of the region.

The training entitled “KUDEBs, Conservation Boards and Conservation Legislation” under Regional Urban Conservation Trainings was organized by Adana Metropolitan Municipality between November 14 and 15, 2022.
In the program attended by 30 experts from the member municipalities of the Union of Historical Cities, architect Bülent Baykal, member of the Çanakkale Historical Site Presidency Commission, gave presentations on the legislation on cultural heritage preservation, identification – registration procedures and boards, KUDEB regulation and Relations with the Protection Board.
Adana Metropolitan Municipality KUDEB Director Şahin Kıl made his presentations on the conservation work carried out by the KUDEB Branch Directorate.
After the presentations, a field visit was made with KUDEB Experts. Archaeological Drilling Excavation Tepebağ Höyük, Neighborhood Lawyer Tepebağ Turan Arun Sokak; Kayalıbağ Neighborhood 26009 Street Urban Design, Health Care and Square Planning Project Areas, Kayabağ District 26009 Street, the registered cultural property, whose restoration work continues on the scale of the registered cultural property, the works of the building with inventory number 99, the castle ruin that are planned to be arranged as a square, the Cinema Museum, Taşköprü and its surroundings, In the Ulu Cami district, the townhouses with inventory number 122-123, whose restoration work is still in progress, the applications for the 1st and 2nd phase completed, 3rd phase implementation continues, Ali Münif Yeğinağa Caddesi Street Rehabilitation Project, Ulu Street Rehabilitation and Mural Art works on site examined.
At the end of the field visits, Bülent Baykal answered the participants’ questions. The training program ended with the certificate ceremony at the KUDEB branch.
