Adana Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ), which continues its projects without slowing down after the election of Mayor Zeydan Karalar of Adana Metropolitan Municipality, has reached the capacity to make large investments without borrowing.
Acting in accordance with the principles of President Zeydan Karalar’s fiscal discipline, proper use of the public’s money and savings by increasing services, the works are carried out with due regard for the public interest.
Some time ago, ASKİ had incorporated 87 construction equipment, which had high rental costs, into its own structure through purchase method. At the same time, 10 large dump trucks, 8 small dump trucks and 6 tractors for use in sewage treatment plants were purchased. As a result, ASKİ started to use its resources more efficiently and started to realize projects that would meet the needs and demands of citizens without borrowing the institution.
Since 2019, companies in Adana have installed 230 kilometers of drinking water pipes, 34,385 kilometers of sewerage and rainwater pipes.
When the projects realized through service procurement are included in these works realized with ASKI Enterprises’ own resources, 1840 km of drinking water pipeline, 300 km of sewage and storm water pipeline have been commissioned by ASKI after the appointment of Zeydan Karalar as the metropolitan municipality mayor. .

In addition to laying drinking water and sewage pipelines, ASKİ has also built wastewater treatment plants in the districts and completed the construction of Saimbeyli and Karataş wastewater treatment plants. Construction of wastewater treatment plants continues rapidly in İmamoğlu and Aladağ districts.
