Apple’s streaming music platform is reportedly the victim of a strange bug. Users have reported finding playlists from other subscribers in their library.

If you use Apple Music on a daily basis, you may have noticed some unusual playlists in your library. Rest assured, you’re not alone. It seems that Apple’s music streaming service is suffering from a strange bug that causes other users’ player lists to appear on your account.

Unknown playlists and others that disappear

The problem with Apple Music would not be isolated. On Reddit, more and more Apple Music subscribers are complaining about other users’ playlists or even new songs appearing in their library. Even worse, some subscribers have noticed that their own playlists have simply disappeared from their app and have been replaced by others. A priori, this strange bug would only affect the Apple Music application on iOS.

“It is a problem that many people are increasingly reporting. It looks like a terrible bug on Apple Music’s servers themselves. You can’t help it and that’s very bad news. Some people have had completely deleted playlists for years – added or removed songs, deleted playlists, etc. Apple doesn’t provide an easy way to back up your content to the cloud, so if it breaks, it’s forever Broken. » complained on Reddit about a user visibly affected by the issue.
It could be that this damage is due to an iCloud sync problem. On Reddit, a user might have found a workaround to fix, at least temporarily, this strange problem by resetting the sync between iCloud and Apple Music. If you are affected by this bug, you can try this solution by going to iOS Settings. You then need to select your iCloud account at the top of the screen, then open the iCloud menu and finally press View all. Finally, find Apple Music, disable and re-enable the option.

Unfortunately, problems with iCloud are not uncommon. Apple’s online storage and synchronization service has run into similar problems several times in the past. Last November, iCloud on Windows had already caused a problem for users. They saw photos and videos that didn’t belong to them show up in their own Photos library. They also couldn’t play some of their videos that appeared to be corrupted on their PC.
